Cross Country 2014

At the Cross Country I was puffing and blowing. My knees did a dance. My heart was pumping fast. My legs were shaking.

“Oh no! I fell over and hurt my hand!” I said to dad.

“Are you all right?” Dad said.
I said, “Yes, but it hurt my hand.”
Dad said, “What hand?”
I sprained my arm. I went to the hospital. The got a bandage on me. My family came to see me.

Salty sweat was dripping down my face like a tap turned on. I was running as fast as I could go. I came third. Lily came first and Zoe came second. I was happy.

At cross-country I was running fast. I came fifth.
“Wow!” said my mum and dad, “You are good!”
When the horn went off I tripped up and I got back up and kept going. I am brave.

Cross Country 2014
I tried my hardest to come first at cross-country but I came second last. It was tiring and exhausting. I felt like I was going to sleep. My guts were twisting but I tried to run as fast as I could.

Cross Country 2014
It was cross-country day. I was lined up at the start line. I was very, very, nervous and my legs were shivering. When the hooter went “boom” all of us went.

Cross Country 2014
“Pit, pat,” my shoes went when I walked down the road. People were cheering for me as I crossed the finish line. I got a lot of hay fever from the grass. I was exhausted after my race.
