Speech Marks

We are learning to add speech to our writing.

“Pass the controller to me,” said my brother.
“NO! NO!” I said. I felt mad. My mum woke up.
“What is all that noise?” she asked.
“Flynn wants the controller. But I had it first!” I replied.
“Pass the controlled to me,” said mum.
“But I haven’t had a go,” said Flynn.
“Well your going to have to have a go tomorrow,” said mum.
“But you can have a go after school,” I said.
“Oh I can’t,” said Flynn, “Because we’re going up north.”

At Mum’s house we played Candyland and my mum and I won the game together. My dad was impressed at me and my mum because we were laughing together. My dad had a game with me. My dad won the game with me.

Assembly
On Monday we packed our bags.  Then we lined up to go to the hall for assembly.  When we arrived we sat on the ground.  I was nervous because I didn’t know who was getting a certificate.  When Miss McDonald said my name, I was jumping up and down with excitement.  My heart was beating very fast.  I’m so happy I was chosen.

Beautiful Day

Beautiful School Day

It's a beautiful day,
With frost on the ground.
We're walking to school,
Where children are found.
